Product Description
Watch used by the Royal Air Force (RAF)
For the production of the English model of the WW2 Watches Collection, we used as reference the classic watch with the “Broad Arrow” that during the World War 2 developed many Swiss watch brands for the British Ministry of Defense, such as Cyma, Eterna, IWC, Jaeger-le-Coultre, Lemania, Longines, Record, Smiths or Timor. The Broad Arrow symbol is traditionally used in heraldry, especially in England, and later used by the United Kingdom Government to mark government property. The British Army uses it on all its equipment.

The watches that drove World War 2
Vintage Watches for Men
In 1939, with war on the horizon, the British War Department realized it needed watches. Knowing that shortages were sure to occur, they quickly purchased units from numerous Swiss manufacturers. All watches were to have 15 jewels, white dials (although some were also ordered with black or radium-painted dials), subsidiary dial for the seconds hand above the 6 o’clock position, steel or chrome cases, and to be made of steel or chrome, and to be steel or chrome cases, and be water-resistant. SEAGULL ST 1700 hand-wound, period style, with second hand in position 6.
Quality Materials
WTI knows the importance of quality. The watches are created using durable material – Genuine Leather Strap, aged finish. 40mm Alloy Case matt finish with Steel back case engraved with the Arrow inscriptions. Water resistant 3 ATM (dust and splashes).
British Time – Dirty Dozen
The history of Dirty Dozen begins in 1939, just at the beginning of World War 2. At that time, industrial efforts in Britain were focused on the production of components and machinery for the army, without a large stock of watches, the Ministry of Defense was in need of obtaining suitable models to equip their men. The answer to this problem would come in 1945 thanks to 12 different Swiss watchmakers; each produced a watch with a similar style: hand-wound models and up to the rigorous daily tasks of the military field. In total, it is believed that between the various companies approximately 150,000 were produced, not all manufacturers produced the same number of watches.

WW2 Military Watches
Learn about the secret missions of the Italian spies, the speed of the Japanese kamikazes, the German tactics, the British precision, feel the coldness of the Red Army or the heights of the American pilots. Each of these vintage model watches of the soldiers who liberated Europe in the battle of Stalingrad is engraved with its serial number, of which only 500 units exist. The requirements were that the watches had to be submersible, as large as possible, to maximize legibility, and visible in the dark, as divers would wear them on night covert missions. As part of the Axis forces, the Japanese played an important role in the resistance during World War II, which culminated in the horrific destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by atomic bombs dropped by the Americans in 1945. In the creation of the English WTI model was used as a reference the classic watch with the “broad arrow” that during the Second World War developed many Swiss watch brands for the British Ministry of Defense, such as Cyma, Eterna, IWC, etc.
