Can it work without Network?

Yes, security camera system can work without network, plug and play for local view; but if you need remote, pls plug Ethernet cable.

Can I add more cameras on it, rotation camera, or original camera?

Yes, system supports 10 cameras; about more cameras, it’s better to choose original camera, or JOOAN PTZ camera that supports onvif;

Can I do ceil-mounted?

Yes, after completed ceil-mounted, pls flip the image of the camera in the NVR by right-click mouse>video manage>select camera’s channel, manual edit>image rollover

Security camera system is powered by plug or battery?

By plug, cameras and NVR are powered by plug, the power cord of the camera is 3 meters.

Do I need to buy a hard drive? What size should I buy?

The NVR supports 3.5″ SATA 500G-6TB security hard drive, pls note if the hard drive is 3-6TB, it may need change an adapter for the NVR( 12V 3A or 5A),12v 2A adapter may be underpowered to drive the bigger HDD.
